26 Days [of thankfulness]: installment twenty two

the first foot prints in fresh snow
and squeaky snow
and air so cold it takes your breath away
and a night that is super bright because of the moon reflecting off of the snow

[I've started this post about three times now, and I realize it's nothing new, but it's been on my mind for a while now. Sorry in advance for how disconnected it seems. You can bear with me or bail out now. The choice is up to you ;) ] It was just yesterday that I was sitting criss cross applesauce in the middle of my living room floor, multitasking. Some like to call it ADD. I prefer "multitasking." Music, social networking, reading a book, something on the TV, ticket shopping... all these distractions from what my mind was mulling over and over. A friend and I were walking the other night, just like old times, after the town had gone to sleep, when the stars were bright and the moon was full. The trees were dripping and the sidewalk was sloppy... it was such a reminiscent time of the past four-ish years of our lives that we have spent in this town. travel: a recap of 2011 -the highlights :)

So, I have this problem. An addiction, if you will. It starts with "t" and rhymes with "gravel." I have been going through withdrawals a lot recently, especially since I realized that this is the longest consecutive time in the last year that I have not been in an airport. (i know, i know, first world problems)  Since I have been obsessing over photo blogs, travel magazines, reminiscing to the point of annoying, creeping fb pictures and looking over my own pictures to the point of memorization, I thought I would post the highlights from trips I was able to make last year. There are a lot of pictures. Be forewarned. Brasil: technically not last year. it was, in fact, Dec. 2010, but it was the first of many trips to follow. Five Minute Friday: After

It's the week After Easter... Resurrection Sunday... celebration of New Life and Power over Death.  Last week was good.  I had some good reads last week: Love to the Uttermost , The Jesus Storybook Bible , Galatians , John , The Story of Hope .  I listened to a Resurrection playlist that was over 8 hours long so I don't think that I ever made it all the way through.  I had encouraging time with my church family here as we celebrated the Truth of the Gospel. And now, the Week After, I am feeling a little ...overwhelmed? let down?   Because After Easter I have only 3 weeks left of class.  And After Easter I only have one week left with my Moving Friends.  And After Easter I only have a month left with Friends who are here for school.  And After Easter life seems so.... well. anti climactic?  Which is all ridiculous because the whole beautiful thing about the week after the Resurrection is purpose and hope  Befor...
