I got to watch my friends get engaged this morning  (with my boss/friend from back in the day)  in the coffee shop I worked at back in the day.  I shared a table with a crusty old guy who played with and sassed Amos while I took pictures. The store was full of their friends and she had no clue and he was so nervous. And it was perfect.  This morning was just another one of those small-town situations that filled up my love tank and made me happy that I didn't move away eight years ago like I thought I would.  Happy Valentine's Day to all you lovers and you haters!

For as long as I can remember, I have pretty much loved Valentine's Day. I don't know if its the cookies, the tacky paper valentines, the candy, or what. Certainly its been fostered by my parents creatively encouraging us to celebrate each year through heart shaped food and fun little parties. So, minus the year I dressed in all black, this year is no exception in my succession of years of celebration. I missed out on posting on Valentines Day because I was driving through Missouri, or something. But I didn't want to let the Valentine's goodness pass unmentioned! So here you go. Better late than never. First off, I got some sweet postcards from Love146 that both supported a worthy cause and gave me an excuse to stick stamps on paper and mail them. (because.
